Medical drones being cool
Here is a customary video of Zipline being cool in Africa and raising the flag for all medical drone delivery operations all over the world.
The American drone logistics company has been shining, delivering COVID-19 vaccines in Rwanda and Ghana at record pace. In Ghana, they actually distributed their allocation of 11,000 doses in just three days.
They also launched operation in the state of Kaduna in Nigeria recently.
The video is a reminder of how Zipline got to be so cool as a medical drone logistics company in Africa; and we should all be proud of what they and the governments they work with have achieved since the start-up landed on the Rwandan hills in 2016.
Besides Zipline, there are other drone companies traversing the African terrain and saving lives through delivery of emergency medical supplies. Swoop Aero have are doing it in Mozambique, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo, while in Malawi and Tanzania, Wingcopter have been working with local public health departments to make emergency deliveries.
And you can learn about Wingcopter’s African medical drone journey at the Drones and Unmanned Aviation Conference, where they will share their trials, tribulations and insights of how to run successful medical drone operations in Africa.
