Irish drone logistics company Manna Air Delivery has just got a capital injection of $50 million to fund its acceleration efforts across the European and American delivery drone market.
In total, the drone company raised $110 million in a funding round led by ARK Invest, with participation from Schooner Capital and the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, alongside existing investors including Coca-Cola HBC and Molten Ventures.
“Manna Air Delivery is dedicated to improving the world by making lightning-fast suburban deliveries affordable, accessible, green and safe,” said Bobby Healy, Manna’s CEO.
“Our technology reduces road congestion, cuts emissions and helps local businesses deliver everyday goods to communities faster. We’ve proven the technology and the economics of autonomous delivery. On daily deliveries in suburban areas we are a world leader.”
Founded in 2019, Manna operates one of the world’s most active consumer drone delivery networks, having completed more than 250,000 regulated commercial UAV flights across Ireland, Finland, and Texas.
The company focuses on suburban last-mile delivery, transporting items such as food, medical supplies, books, and clothing directly to customers’ homes within minutes.
“Now it’s about scale,” Healy continued.
“We’re expanding rapidly in the United States with plans to launch up to 40 new bases as we build the infrastructure for the next generation of logistics. It’s been exciting to see the enthusiasm for aerial delivery in technology-forward markets like the US and others.”
The company plans to scale significantly in the US, targeting up to 40 new operational bases. Manna says it wants to build on seven years of operational experience and growing partnerships with major platforms including Uber, Deliveroo, Just Eat, and DoorDash.
Through these integrations, customers can order via partner apps or Manna’s platform, with autonomous drones delivering goods in as little as three minutes.
With regulatory certification under the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and continued engagement with US regulators such as the Federal Aviation Administration, Manna is aiming to build foundational infrastructure for next-generation logistics powered by autonomous aerial vehicles.
“Manna is building one of the most compelling real-world applications of autonomous technology we have seen,” said Orhan Gazelle, Managing Director at Schooner Capital.
“The company has demonstrated that drone delivery can operate safely, efficiently and at scale, and we believe it has the potential to fundamentally reshape last-mile logistics. We are excited to support Manna as it expands internationally and continues to build the infrastructure for the future of autonomous delivery.”
